WEPGen app for iPhone and iPad
Need to connect to a wireless network that is WEP encoded but all you have is the passphrase and your network connection client doesnt handle passphrases? You need to have an offline WEP key generator that will give you the 26 HEX digits you need. You need WEPGen!
WEPGen uses the defacto standard for generating WEP keys used by most wireless routers.
It supports Netgear, Linksys, etc. and is compatible with alternate firmware like Tomato.
Easy to use:
Enter the passphrase into WEPGen to generate the WEP keys. Just tap the key that you want and it is copied to the paste buffer and ready to be pasted into an email, document, or (best of all) the wireless wifi key in settings!
Works on iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.
This program is NOT for use as a hacking tool!
It is intended to be a utility to help connect to a network when the passphrase is already known, but the wireless setup wizard/app/program will only accept hex digits (like Win XP, etc)

Its a great app of you can use it but if your a noon and dont know that people have Mac filtering so you cant always connect and your gonna complain its your loss!!!
Just goes to show how fragile wifi security can be! This app is an eye opener!
This would probably work great if people actually used WEP still. But since its not 2007 anymore, I doubt anyone will find much use for this other than CS uses. Still kinda cool.

I read the other reviews and anyhow I bought it BUT it was a GREAT MISTAKE. Just believe us this **** doesnt work, waste of money and time. Just dont buy/doesnt work!
this Apps give you letters and numbers for each letter you type, cannot get my Own network working, I want my $$$ back. Apple store should verified all apps before. This should be under (fake, fun, impress your friend and be Free)

I forgot the wep key to my last internet router and i figured i could use this app to figure it out but absolutely none of the wep keys worked! This was a waste of 99 cents for sure not a chance i will reccomend this app!
